As you approach Bath on the A36 from the Warminster direction, you will skirt the villages of Freshford and Limpley Stoke. You will drop downhill past Limpley Stoke and the Rose & Crown pub on your right and then the road will level out as you cross a viaduct.
There are two sets of traffic lights at the far end of the viaduct. At the first set of lights you will see a signpost to Bradford-on-Avon to your right. At the second set of lights (Viaduct Inn on the corner) turn left up the hill (onto Brassknocker Hill) which is signposted to Monkton Combe.
After a short distance (less than 1/3 mile), take the first left hand turn into a lane (Church Lane) and continue until you come to a right hand turn opposite a large school building. This is the bottom of Shaft Road !
Turn right here up the hill and follow the twists and turns of Shaft Road until it levels out at the top. You will pass a rugby ground on your left.
Beech Wood is the 5th house on your right.
We look forward to meeting you and wish you
a safe journey!
