Finding Beech Wood...
By Train, Bus or Taxi
If you are booking a train trip to Beech Wood,
your destination should be Bath Spa.
There is excellent service to Bath by train.
Friday and Sunday evenings tend to be very busy,
so try to book your train for an earlier time.
You can take a taxi from the station, telling the driver you
want to go to Shaft Road, in Combe Down
via Prior Park / Ralph Allen Drive.
This should cost around £6. Any other route
will cost up to £10 or more.
If you wish to take the bus to Beech Wood, (cost: £1.80)
when you arrive at Bath Spa, walk to your left
upon exiting the station. You will see a bus stop
on the same side of the road as the station.
Take the number 2 bus (or the 702 after 6 pm)
and ask the driver to let you off at
the Hadley Arms Pub. Cross to the Hadley Arms
and then with their front door at your back,
cross The Avenue. Continue walking for 5 mins,
past Monkton Combe School.
The first road on your right is Shaft Road.
Beech Wood is the fifth house on your left.
